MintM Inc. ("MintM") is a computing vision company that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to recognize and analyze people’s faces, labels, and barcodes captured on CCTV cameras and utilize them in various areas such as understanding personal information and location tracking.

In the case of the personal information analysis (face recognition) function, the analysis data can be derived by identifying the number of people entering a specific space while finding their identity, movements and distinguishing among the sex, age, and registered employees.

For label and barcode recognition functions, barcodes are installed in Kiosks to recognize barcodes, license plates, labels, and control production to forwarding (logistics).

The AI-based program developed by MintM is designed for compatibility with many devices and uses monthly fees per device as a major source of revenue.

MintM estimates that the AI-based video analysis market will grow to $8.5 billion annually by 2023, with an annual growth rate of $3.2 billion currently.

MintM was founded in Silicon Valley and has been working with India's Tata Group, India Rail, Pepsi, Capital land and L’Oreal to enter the Southeast and South Asian markets currently.

Since its 2014 inception, MintM now has 20 employees (including eight research developers), generating sales of $25,000 per month and expecting to grow more than four times by 2019.

MintM is planning to set up a Korean hub base for the Far East Asian market and is pushing to enter the Korean market based on its success in Singapore and Malaysia. They are preparing to launch for Korea's department stores, shopping malls, convenience stores, factories, logistics centers, and security crime companies while looking for collaboration with Korean 'space information analysis service' businesses.

The 2018 K-Startup Grand Challenge is a program designed to help foreign start-ups and overseas Koreans establish themselves in Korea at early stages by providing mentoring, customized start-ups, and common investment opportunities.
